Useful tools

Useful tools that I've used in the past and still find useful time to time, and you will probably too...

cdpr - cisco discovery protocol reporter // Need to find where you are on a corporate network? The switches usually send out packets telling you where you are, this tool is usually available in linux repos and will wait for the packet and tell you the info contained within. Old article but one of my old favorite sites that is now defunct: https://debian-administration.org/article/638/Where_art_thou_-_CDPR

arandr - gui front-end to xrandr // Allows you to manipulate X windows and set up things like resolution/multiple monitors with ease, especially useful when running things like xfce or lxde or when you are running a minimal system install of mate that may have no/bad tools for such manipulation.
